I agree with you about the unfairness of it. Unless they can refer to his third year's sickness record from a previous employer or something like that, the system is stacked in the newcomer's favour here.:T:j :TMFiT-T2 No.120|Challenge started 12.12.09|MFD 12.12.12 :j:T:j0

In the third post you said every one in the pool got zero score(before adding sick) and had 10y+ service.0

You could ask them to do an average over the three years so that you got a yearly score.
I think if you were made redundant you could use this as grounds for appeal.
If you demonstrate the loss to the company rather than the absolute score this may make them look at it differently.GC Jan £318/£350, Feb £221.84/£300, Mar £200.00/£250 Apr £201.05/£200 May £199.61/£200 June £17.25/£200

The Bradford points scale is awfully unfair. Its annoying but it is a recognised system unfortunately.
However the fact they have done this over 3 years and not weighted the scores to take into account that the person who has only been there 2 or so years will obviously get a better score for the same amount of disturbance each year might be a talking point.
I assume that one of your illnesses was over two years ago? If I take his score of 15 and change that to factor in three years and not two I get 22.5. which is still lower than yours. This complaint will only work in your favour if you can prove that one of your absences is outside of the period he worked there and should not be considered and therefore would make your score 9 or below.
I hope you sort it out and if not find work quickly.0 -

Thanks for your advise, i appealled against one of my sickness on the grounds it was a reocurring problem which was the result of a previous works accident. Will find out this week if my appeal has been successful, cant find anything on the net of a similar case though.0 -

I hope it did and manages to bring you to a position where you are safe.
The problem with relying on the net for issues like this is they quite often stay behind closed doors so its hard to find case history.0
