cooling off period

Does anyone know what the cooling off period is for phones 4 u instore please
Got a new phone on saturday but cant use it, far too technical for me. the only demonstration i had was to make a call and access contacts, that was it.
I'm more tahn happy with the contract but would prefer a simpler phone.
So far they have said that I'm stuck with the phone which I cant use and am having to borrow my sons.:(

No cooling off period for in store purchases. Just like motor cars, ear rings and wives!

    What he said.

Cooling periods are only for things bought online or over the phone where you can't see or use what you're buying.
