You can dress it up like that if you want, but deliberately posting non-existent misprices in order to mislead people and send them on wild goose chases is, in my opinion, an attempt to wreck the thread for everyone. I can't see anything subtle about it. It's just malicious and childish.

I dont think it did, it brought out all those that have been hanging on watching and benifiting from the info that people like mcdonag (sp), bleugh classics, r+r raider, BB999, Hokers and all those I have forgot that find misprices on a regular basis, I admit that I dont find that many new ones or I go to see if they are posted while Im in Tesco but they have just been posted like the basted chickens yesterday yes I was on the internet in side a store I do it all the time.

The constant new people asking questions where can I get an xbox !!!! I was even getting PM's asking where they can go in the manchester area how can they get r+r's everything is covered in this thread or the misprices thread they just want it laying on a plate, it may involve reading 40 pages of stuff but the info is in there and reading the pages you would get the experiances of other r+rers and tips on what to do and how to find r+r's there is no guarentee you can get them I travel alot with work and call in to stores if Im passing and usually leave with nothing. but I do check the meat, electronics and games in every store just incase I find somthing I have carried pc's arround stockport to the scanners that didnt work btw and to a checkout just for a price check to find the out of date sel was correct and with some laptops the other day I even spoke to a manager and they removed the lower price sels which were correct :rotfl: and they said I should go work for them. I have heard about another forums and the MSN group people have set these up I assume to keep the good misprices away from the hoards of takers on here.

the Xbox 360 (which everyone has been talking about) is considerably more - around £280, i dont think the normal xbox - around £100 is on this 'deal'n PLUS dont forget you need the cash to buy the game too!

I went to my local store today and got Dove Shampoo on BOGOF. SEL £1.82 scan £1.93. Went to customer services. The CS went off to check and lo and behold all the incorrect SELs had vanished in the few minutes since I picked the items up!!! There were 5 or 6 of them when I was at the shelf. The only one that had an incorrect SEL was one that I had not bought. I was so cross. Never mind I will return them tomorrow saying they were the wrong ones or something.

All the price check scanners are not working either.

Yes a well known cs ploy....been caught out myself with this one. As bassman says either go with cs to "show them" where you picked up the item, or,
When you 'discover' the overcharge, go back to location yourself...BEFORE going to cs desk. (After all you are just checking that you hadn't mis-read the price.) Point out the fact that you have been overcharged to a passing member of staff, and show them the price on display, and your receipt. In the past they have taken me to cs desk to point out that "this Old Bag" has been overcharged. Then it makes it harder for cs to suddenly not be able to find the incorrect sel.;)
This is why I prefer items which have the wrong sticker - such as DS games etc. If game is stickered £12.99, and your receipt says £19.99, there is not much chance of them wriggling out of it ! - but be warned I would suggest even with stickered goods go to cs then, as prices are changing so much that if you go back next day the game may now scan at £12.99, and cs accuse you of bringing back an incorrect receipt.:p

Re suggestion of taking a photo of the sel, as someone said, surely this shows premeditation ? - although if you use a phone, who would know ?
But, if you are at the cs desk about say an Xbox bundle and you do not get a satisfactory outcome, and decide to go home and phone HO, or come back next day to see manager etc....then would probably be the reasonable time to take photo, so the evidence is not tampered with whilst you are gone. Lots of phones take pictures, so you don't have to keep your camera in your bag ( looks a bit suspect). If you do it with cs knowledge and explain....maybe you can even send the image to HO via e-mail (?) so they have all YOUR facts/evidence. Surely if cs object it is because they know they are on dodgy ground ;)

Would just add that my phone does video recording, so u dont need to be so obvious snapping away, just pretend u making a call and switch on record..a memory card helps if u want to spot alot of items..alledgedly
