T-mobile tariff change/increased charges
Hello,
I need some help with my T-mobile contract.
My contract was renewed a few months ago, after talking with T-Mobile and ensuring they'd provide me with the best value for the money I'd pay. I got a BB Bold 9700 in November and enabled all the BB services and internet access from my phone, which I didn't have on my previous contract. My minutes and texts remained the same as before.
In the first three months of the contract, everything seemed to be charged properly and I received what's called "Loyalty Discount", which basically got my monthly rate down to what I was promised it to be.
However, after the three months passed, all the extra discounts were removed and now I end up paying more than what I should.
I've only noticed last week and contacted T-Mobile about it. They said that the discount was only because my contract didn't end properly and I renewed and offered to change something on the internet access that would save me £2 a month! However, I know that my first contract came to an end before upgrading.
I don't know who to talk to or write to about this matter, but I think it's absurd to be promised discounts that will be removed after a few months and not even knowing that. Before renewing my contract in November, I called them and asked them to leave as I found the same phone with Orange in a much cheaper tariff. After mentioning it to them, they offered to lower the price (I suppose this is the 'Loyalty discount') and matched Orange's offer. That's why I stayed with them.
I am 100% sure that the lady on the phone never mentioned anything to me about prices being changed after some time and I have a copy of the contract at home.
Any help would be appreciated.

If you have a copy of the contract at home, then that should help clear up the matter.
You can ask, under Data protection Legislation (cost £10 probably) for a copy of the conversation that you and t-mobile had at the time. They should have that, otherwise how can they prove what the terms agreed were?
However, in the death, they can do more damage to you than you can do to them if you decided to cancel the Direct Debit.
Get through to someone senior - try the chief exec's office with a simple, no frills email saying that his company has changed the terms of your renewal to your detriment and you want someone from his office to sort it out.0
