Windows 7 Showing no virus protection

Options
Hi,
I have a laptop with windows7 and it keeps warning me that i have no antivirus on my computer and that windows firewall is turned off.
But i have Kasperskey internet security 2010 running on my computer and that is showing no problems.
How do i get windows to see that i do have antivirus running?

Thanks

Firstly, see if there are any program updates for Kaspersky. If not, go into Control Panel, Security, Virus Protection and tell it you have an application you'll monitor yourself.

Its onyl because Kaspersky AV isn't integrated properly.

My kasperskey is up to date.
Everything was ok up until last night when my warning came up to say that windows could not detect a antivirus program.

Virus protection (important) windows did not find antivirus software on this computer. It Gives the option to find a program online.

Sorry, not sure what to suggest. You could try a system restore to when it was showing and then updating it again, or try re-installing Kaspersky.

Put a folder full of [ copy ] any rubbish on your desktop. Right click on the folder

Assuming you have Microsoft updates on and up to date.

    - it should say check with Kaspersky
    - does it ?, and ;
    - does it actually perform the check and tell you the folder is ok / not ok ?

Which version of Kas ? old ones as Hammyman says don't use the proper reporting to rules for Win7, but you should not have been able even to force an incompatible version on.

At first glance it sounds like you have a virus blocking your Kas, you may need to ask for alienRIK

BTW Kas switches of Win7 firewall !

I have kasperskey internet security 2010 loaded on my computer and all was working ok up until yesterday.
All works ok when performing a check on a folder on my desktop.
Also when i plug a flashdrive in kasperskey opens up and asks if i want to scan the removable drive,so kasperskey is running ok it is just that windows does not think that that kasperskey is on my pc.

    Thanks
