couple of questions:
1. do virgin mobile unlock reconditioned phones if you have spent £30 on airtime? i know they do with new ones, but what about reconditioned?
2. if they do, how do they do it, and would i have to ring from the actual phone?
3. if not, would it work if i ''upgraded'' to the cheapest new phone on their website, got the discount for owning a virgin sim and then got that unlocked for free?

Yes, they unlock reconditioned phones too.before_hollywood wrote:2. if they do, how do they do it, and would i have to ring from the actual phone?
When I asked Virgin (via e-mail to theteam@virginmobile.com) they asked me to send the following details via e-mail.
* The name and address of the registered owner of the phone
* The make and model of your phone.
* Your Virgin Mobile phone number.
* Your phone's IMEI number - that's the number that appears when you type *#06# into your phone.
* Where did you buy the mobile phone.
* And finally, another number that we can reach you on.
After sending above details, I usually get a response in 2 days and unlock code in post within a week.0 -

lesson for other mse peeps, might be worth a call to enquire about an ''upgrade'' to a bargain phone (you get £10 off for having a virgin simcard), includes free sims from mse freebie links (how i got my sim
) things arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back then
