Moving in 30th June BT Landline Advice Needed

Hi Everyone
Exchanged on my house on Friday.
Completition date is 30th June.
The seller has a line with Talktalk currently.
I did a dummy run on the BT website they they said they can convert the existing line at the address over to BT for no extra charge. They also said they will write to the existing company to let them know
What I want to know is when should I order the new line with BT?
I don't want to cut off the current owners landline before the 30th.
Any advice would be appreciated
