Do you still get the problems with google now. I'm quite certain it was caused by adware.mywebsearch
I'd personally remove AVG, superantispyware and spyware doctor.0 -

done this with restart.0 -
Good good! If you don't mind removing superantispyware and spyware doctor too I would unistall them too. Avast (although personally never used) and malwarebytes should be enough I believe, although others should be able to advise better than me (although they don't seem to be around at the moment).
Is google still redirecting?0 -

did the first 4, the 020 seems to have gone already.0 -
Think the avg removal tool did it's magic so don't worry about the 020. Is google still redirecting? Assuming it isn't: (credits to alienRIK):
Download CCLEANER
http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/slim
Run the CLEANER scan (UNTICK 'cookies')
Then run the REGISTRY scan (Backup the registry when it asks)0 -

Just tried a few googles - seems ok, but it has been intermittent!
Do you think it was adware.mywebsearch - think that may have been picked up and dealt with by malwarebytes a few months before google problems.0 -
April 11th was when adware.mywebsearch was found. Are you sure it was after that date, google was still redirecting?
I guess we could run combofix but I won't be able to read the log... (written by alienRIK):
Please run COMBOFIX
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe
Shut down your anti virus
Follow the simple instructions it gives
Post the COMPLETE log it creates here (Split into sections if need be) ~ if there are loads of 'SNAPSHOT' pages then leave them out
If it comes up with a RENAMING error then RIGHT click the exe file and RENAME and call it QWERTY (Making the complete file name 'QWERTY.exe') Or SAVE as 'QWERTY' on download0 -
so keep:
hijackthis,
avast
malwarebytes
delete:
spybot,
spyware doctor,
superantispy,
windows defender???0 -
Windows defender not sure -that comes with microsoft doesn't it?0
