Ok i have a desire, and im looking for a new email client. Reson being is that i have a hotmail account synced to it however when i receive an email and read or delete it, this only effects the phone, so if i logged on on the pc, the message still appears and is still un-read.
I realise hotmail doesnt support IMAP (only POP) and this is partially why, however my nokia n97 did this fine with the same hotmail account with its propriety email client.
So are there any other decent clients that i can try out, preferably ones with a full or half screen widget but its not essential.

Back by no demand whatsoever.

Both work for me. SEVEN is still fairly beta. K-9 is excellent, and you can set the accounts to delete from the server when you delete on the phone. k-9 is available free in the market but I like to try the latest versions from code.google.com. If you browse to the sites on your mobile browser you can download them directly to your phone.
You can also get 'mail widget' from the market which is a quarter screen widget that only works with k-9.
Finally, should you need them, the 'manual input' settings for k-9 are here;

The outgoing port is either 25 or 587. Port 25 very often doesn't work with a lot of mobile operators, I always have to use 587.0 -

although i havent used it, i have heard k9 is good and many say it works better than the htc native email software. http://www.cyrket.com/p/android/com.fsck.k9/
seven i think is the software that was used by three for their pushmail version, three doesnt use seven now on htc phones because htc has provided their own synch email software. but have read others have used seven without problems too.
i dont use either. for gmail i use the gmail app. for yahoo i use the yahoo app both work fine for me. yahoo app takes some finding on google search!!! but if you go to yahoo mobile pages then you will get an advert to get the app or you can go to the getjar website and get the app. msn has a similar app but dont know if the msn/wlm apps have access to email as i havent tried them
you can try this https://slideme.org/application/maildroid and let me know if it works!
if nothing works then this last option should work anywaybubblesmoney :hello:0
