Would you be happy with a duvet that didn't do up?

I bought a duvet on ebay and came to put it on today to notice there is a popper missing and one that doesnt do up
Seller seemed ok and asked what to do i said as its alot to send back a small discount would be fine
To which i had a email ranting about how much it was new what a bargain i got and the item is sold as used!
im rather annoyed as It wasnt stated and would not of bid had i known!
Where can i go from here?

Well one of the poppers on my current duvet cover has never done up - well known manufacturer and brand new from a proper shop.

I'd just let it go personally.
  • the two that are damaged are in the middle and as i have a thick duck duvet its rather obvious,I hate being a annoying buyer to the seller but i Do not want to be out of pocket on damage she didnt not mention

If you open a SNAD dispute with ebay and ask for a partial refund you should win the dispute.

  • You say you would have accepted a small discount from the seller, presumably you would have continued to use the duvet cover then, so personally I would stitch a press stud on and leave it go.

Could you not pop a couple of press studs on it in replace of the poppers? Only other suggestion is to return it.

I don't have my Duvets long before a popper or button drops off.

And if it can be repaired which i will try to have it done so by my local laundrette or mother lol! I just Think its not fair not to mention something like that,I really would not have bid !!

if it's affecting you that badly then send it back via recorded delivery for a full refund
