CC is a business. They have to pay rent, rates, staff etc etc so will always low ball you. If you want more then you have to spend effort and possibly £ and advertise the stuff yourself...

Agreed - Its only when you try and sell stuff you find out how much it cost to make :rotfl: try taking an expensive piece of jewellery back to the jewellers two weeks after you bought it and see what they would offer for it - probably 20% max. I suspect CC are particularly poor with their offers and much better to put in local freeads.

I always wonder how much of the equipment is "hot" in cash convertors.........

It always seems to me as its rather like they act as a fence and a modern equiv. to a pornbrokers!

As a buyer I would rather look at the loclal papers or ebay as I can get things cheaper and find out thier history.

As a seller I know they won't offer me a good deal!!!!!!!!!!!

look at the prices on the shelf, then cut them in half, thats what they pay you

then, look on ebay, adtrader, loot, etc for that item and see how much they sell for

then determine if you have a good deal or not

it IS entirely possible to beat the system and earn money out of cash converters, I used to do it all the time by buying stuff cheap in sales and selling it to cash converters at more than I paid for it in the sales prices, though that was in my Uni days '95 to '00, it's not quite as easy now
    money saving my @rse.
I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)
