I realise this is more than the Screwfix one, although this one includes free delivery.
Slightly unfair - as if you spent £45 at Screwfix then (NEXT DAY) delivery would be free with Screwfix too.... So you could say that you can get a 10" Mitre saw and £14.61 worth of goods of your choice for the same price as the Toolstation one.
If you feel you know of better offers than the OP highlights then maybe a separate post would be more appropriate.0 -
Recieved mine today.
Excellent service too.
Thanks Screwfix."Unhappiness is not knowing what we want, and killing ourselves to get it."Post Count: 4,111 Thanked 3,111 Times in 1,111 Posts (Actual figures as they once were))Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.0 -
At the risk of restarting the arguing I thought I should mention that it (the original one) has now been reduced even more to £29.99
EDIT: Add £5.95 "Packaging" to that unless you spend more than £45 when its free0 -
cheap tools are crap? sorry to saysave me money not time0

I've got to agree with tandeh, sometimes its worth paying a little more for a better quality tool. The accuracy might start off OK, but after a couple of cuts this will diminish.
I was tempted with a bargain compound mitre saw, and it was great to start off with, but after completing one room I soon realised that I should have spent that bit extra for a better saw. If I had spent that little bit more I would have ended up spending less on wood filler for the poor joints.
Its stilll a good buy, but don't expect perfect 45 degrees all the time.
If you want cheap power tools then get them from B&Q and after the job, return them and get full refund within 12month period ;-)0 -
Most rooms don't have perfect 45 degree wall angles, either, so it doesn't really matter most of the time, unless you're building furniture of course...Its stilll a good buy, but don't expect perfect 45 degrees all the time. Thanks to all who post constructively.
Have an A1 day!0
