RE - taffy056, yep they said they needed the original for auditting purposes (both in writing and over the phone). They said that it's because the year wasn't scratched off, just the day and month. I pointed out that they could clearly match the scratch-ticket's serial number to the hotel, but alas, common sense does not prevail.

Then keep appealing - when you get the NTO make sure you appeal formally.

As I said above, adjudicators have found in favour of the motorist where a scratch ticket is only possible to have been used on that day. Tell the Council you will go to the adjudicator if need be (it's an informal meeting).

Solicitor certified copies are as good as an original.

I don't think I can attach a copy of my evidence as I am a new user?

My scanner at work saves it as a .pdf file....

Copy/scan/photo (mobile-digital in macro/close-up mode). Host on tinypic and copy the url. Paste the url in a post and remove http:// bit. Remove any personal details, leave dates.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

Well after I sent a letter explaining that I still have certified copies, and a solicitor to back me up at at any tribunal, I haven't heard back.
Infact, I have yet to receive anything more. Do you think this is dead in the water now or how long do they take to send out an enforcement notice?

Sorry peter_the_piper - I will upload it soon! It might help out the next poor victim!

I think they have six months to issue an NTO but I may be wrong. Just sit tight.
