Hello,
I have mould in my second bedroom, There is a airvent cover which has been placed over 4 drilled holes. Is this corrent? Shouldnt it be a proper vent?
I am going to treat the mould and know what is causing it, condensation etc.
l am going to build a dry wall over this, but wanted to know what to do with the vent. Because of the dry wall, shall I just leave it? Shall I put a proper vent in, by this i mean should I knock the brick out?
Cheers
Richard.

condensation is the primary reason. try and eliminate that first.
ventilation is important. a proper vent with a sliding cover is very useful.
or make sure you open a window every day. esp in rooms with a known problem.Get some gorm.0 -
Hi
if there is a problem with condensation a reduction in humidity brought about by increased heating and ventilation will help control it, so knocking the brick out as you mention may will prove advantageous.
anti mould and anti condensation products are also available.
