best was Dior foundation in a spray for that perfect airbrush look - about £25 and it lasts 3 weeks
bought a ouple and the nozzle stick however - too faffy. Am back to avon cream to powder, and I buy it when it's on 2 for a tenner.
Avon do half a dozen different kindss at decent prices so worth trying a few!
I am also mega pale and their ivory does me ok. (I am almost translucent!!)Debt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0 -
I use Mac Studio Fix liquid foundation and love it. It's around £19 but lasts for ages. I used to use MaxFactor (about £10) and would continue doing so but the colour wasn't exactly right for me, the lightest was too light but the next shade up was too dark. The Mac one is just right.
Not so keen on their mascara though, find it very lumpy, the one I'm using now is a fairly cheap high street one (can't remember exactly what).
I tried the mineral make up last year but didn't like it, it was a bit too light for me and I prefer more coverage. I know people that swear by it though. I guess it just depends what type of skin you have and what sort of coverage you're looking for.0 -

I use Clinique gentle light foundation, its great and I always go back to it. They did discontinue it once but brought it back because of huge demand. No matter how many other foundations I try, this always comes out tops.0 -
My favourite Foundation (a Lancome one) is about £27 to buy in the shops. I’m almost out and am trying to find a more cost effective one as I really can’t afford to keep spending out such a lot on a foundation.
I’ve tried various ones and none of them are anywhere near as good as the Lancome one. I do like the sound of the Clinique Anti Blemish Foundation that thesim mentioned earlier in this thread – especially as I have been converted to the Dramtically Different Moisturising Gel and really like it. I wonder if they would give me a sample of the foundation if I asked at the counter?
I do feel it’s time for a change but it gets expensive trying all these different brands. I picked up a Revlon foundation at our local car boot which was unused for £2 and I actually am really liking it. I tend to use that for everyday wear to work and then save my expensive Lancome one for nights out etc.
