Hi
I currently in process of buying a flat, and hopefully be all done in month of so,
I notice that it had a sky disc and a single LNB connection for just standard sky coming through the wall in the living room,
I was wondering a few things if anyone has any more information

- I want to install SKy HD i know i need 2 LNB connections, would tihs be easy to do, as i aware the disc is on the other side of the buidling and the cable goes over the roof (buidling 3 stories tall), would this be ok for normal sky install
- Do i still need permission to do the above (from the managment company)
- Can sky reconnect the phone line, and if they do what does it cost
- What the best deal for special offer etc, i was thinking abotu tv home phone and broadband deals

Replacing the Single LNB is a simple enough task however because it's a three story block,Normal Sky installers wont touch it due to H&S.It'll have to be done by Sky's 'Special Heights' crew.
Make sure you tell Sky that when you call.
As the is already a dish & cable in situ, then I'd think you dont need permission from the management company, but just let them know it's being done out of courtesy.0 -
Make sure the cable is properly clipped all the way down the roof and wall, otherwise it's likely to flap in the wind until the outer plastic sheath wears away and water gets in. It happens all too often.0
