    Hi Anna!

    London can be quite expensive to eat, but there are plenty of more reasonable restaurants too. I live here and try to treat us to a meal out once a month or so and when I do, we use vouchers from www.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - you can sign up to their email too, which sends you the valid ones. Lots of nice restaurants there - mostly chains like Pr3zzo and P1zza Express, but if you don't mind those then I would recommend them.

    As for other things to do in London I always recommend 3 things - museums (free), sightseeing (free) and walking tours (£8 but it lasts for about 2 hours and it is really really good fun and interesting) - with this company: http://www.walks.com/

    Have fun!

    Jo :)

    Oh oooops!! I musn't be allowed to post the website address. Oh dear, that's embarassing :o If you need it, I can PM you it (I hope?)

    Jo - peppers freeze fine, just chop them up and bung them in the freezer in a bag, no need to blanch them or anything like that :D

    * plant out tomatoes
    * plant rocket
    * [STRIKE]run out into front garden in nightie to rescue prize lettuce from two ENORMOUS slugs[/STRIKE] :eek:
    * 2 hours transcribing work

    Little tiny burst of activity required now I think! Will go and clean the attic stairs and do first coat of undercoat and think about things to ebay while I do it. then as long as I've got clothes and stuff ready for work in the morning, I might stop then... :rotfl:

    Hello my lovely ladies!!!!
    Sorry for not posting a lot recently, yesterday was spent moving DB2 from Salisbury to Didcot all day, with DM. Unfortunately, DB2 had not packed a sausage when I got there Friday evening, not only that, I had to WASH UP his kitchen stuff, dry it before I could pack it?!?!?! It's amazing how the uber intelligent can be really STUPID and DISORGANISED at things to do with life! Bless him...

    Anyway so I was in Didcot by 10am yesterday morning with my useful estate car packed to the roof, but not on the roof, lent my ratchet straps to a customer who had lost her roof box keys, had to empathise with her, I did this too remember! Then we were back in Salisbury by 11.45, then back in Didcot by 2pm ish with another car load and a van load. Then back in Salisbury by 6.15pm! Not very DFW as I spent £55 in fuel (stupid big petrol estate car), then as I was so knackered and starving I took DD and DN (DB2's son) to the pub for dinner, which cost me £37! But hey, that's what we do for family I suppose (family said in phil mitchell style).

    My list is tiny for this weekend but also includes tomorrow as well, so I won't be posting in the morning as I have a lot to do:-

    Today
    - Did ALL HC today and dried on the line
    - HW on for a short time to do washing up
    - Aquired new to me sofa from DM, which will replace the one I asked NSOH to take with him when her moves out, my god is it cosy!
    Tomorrow:
    - Drop DD at nursery, well it's paid for so may as well even though I'm not working!
    - Cleaning DB2's old flat thoroughly until 10.45am
    - Docs at 11am
    - Nurse at 11.50 (may be able to combine this with 1st one)
    - Mr T's with list!
    - Clean house? Depending on how I feel
    - Batch cook hobnobs, not done this for ages
    - Bath, defuzz, paint nails, do hair, look beautiful for the hell of it!!!

    So that's my plan.
    Hope you have all had a lovely weekend, you all seem to be so busy and doing so well!
    Jx
    Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!

    As Jo says, we were moving DS2 (her DB2 :D) over the weekend. I was playing "white van woman" up and down the A34 and loving it!!It did mean I had an NSD yesterday though as he paid for the van and my KFC supper. I sneaked an additional £20 of diesel into the van today so no NSD there.

    I haven't posted much this week as there's not been much to say. I've been taking lunch to work, not going out at lunchtimes and using the bike rather than car as it uses very little fuel.

    I'm certainly not enjoying my new job. I've written a list of things to discuss with boss, but need to pluck up the courage to talk to him. Every time I tried on Friday, he picked up the phone so I suspect he knows something's up!

    Anyway, I'll try to post next week!

  • Hi everyone,
    Hope you've all had a lovely DFW weekend.
    Determined - have a fab holiday!!! you really deserve it after the last few months!!

    I've not had a good DFW weekend but its been lovely. Its my 30th birthday tomorrow and we had a BBq for it yesterday for which the sun stayed out. Also had combined world cup party at the same time - all men ran in the house for the football and came back out after!!

    Its cost us a lot of money me and OH went halves on food and drink but still not good DFW so am starting again tomorrow - pay day is on tuesday so will be making a new saving / getting out of debt plan as from tuesday.

    The good news is that we over bought so we have 60 sausages still to eat and a freezer full of baps and fnger rolls - which OH will be having for lunch everyday til we run out!!

    Off to make packed ,lunches for tomorrow and tidy up a bit more - been at it all day but not got there yet!!

    Hi everyone :wave:

    Can't believe it's Sunday night already! Where did the weekend go? Hubby is back from boys' weekend, with actual war wounds, he argued with some barbed wire - and lost. Quite nasty, will have to keep an eye on it. He is up to date with tetanus injections thankfully. Also has killer hangover, so he really appreciated the homecooked goodies I gave him :)

    So this weekend my DFW things have been:

    Cooked spaghetti bolognese, macaroni cheese, creamy chicken, tatty bread AND chocolate brownies!!!! Very pleased, shall polish my halo before bedtime :A
    Had an NSD today!!!! Yay!!!
    Had a LSD yesterday!!! Yay!!!
    Tidied house
    Got whites wash done and out to dry (indoors though as we don't have a garden, booooo)
    Used free minutes to talk to Mum

    Think that's about it. A little annoyed that my Ebay items didn't sell but hey ho. I'll put them on again.

    Night night everyone!
