easyJet: Important! You need to add ID information to your booking

Hi all,
I am probably going to ring them tomorrow, but a few weeks ago, I entered my new passport details online to my existing flight booking and confirmed it.
Anyway, I have have gone to my account tonight, printed off the boarding cards, but noticed that the message...
"Important! You need to add ID information to your booking"
... is still there, so I requested an email confirmation which I received and the same message is on the email.
I have checked and checked and checked  both passport details over and over and they are definately correct.
Would anyone know if this will cause a problem at the airport?

Thanks alot
Lynn

    Hi,
When I have booked flights with Bmi baby and Ryanair I have had similar emails even though I had previously entered passport details online.I think those types of emails are just automatically sent to anyone who has booked regardless or not of whether you have provided this info. I have just ignored them as I knew I had entered my details and had checked this and I´ve never had any problems.

I had the same thing last year and also panicked! But everything was fine at the airport. Don't worry about it.

I wouldnt worry as long as you did put it in and If you mention straight away as check in too I am sure they will see you are genuine,

With regards to this we didnt notice this when we went with easyjet earlier in the year, they let us travel however at check in they pointed it out and said if you dont do it you can be refused travel so we have made sure that we are putting in this information in now we know.
It did take her an extra couple of minutes to put in this information so I guess if everyone didnt do it then all these couple of minutes would all add up and then people have to wait longer so I can see why they now ask passengers to fill in infomation.
I can see them becoming quite strick with this in the future.

yes, don't worry. it's standard to send out reminders, as per posts above. if you can't shake the worries off, take a screenshot of the webpage with your details, print it off and take it with you when you check in.

Thankyou so much everyone, you have put my mind at rest. The drinks are on me!
  • I got the same message today. I normally travel on proper airlines but a cheapscate employer put me on this horrible airline.

The email threateningly tells me I have to provide passport info online for my flight, or "If you don't do this then you will not be allowed on the plane."

I then click on the link to easyjet.com, log-in (after creating an account), and when I attempt to check-in to the flight, it tells me the booking reference number is invalid. I have called various numbers (all after some web-research as there are no contact numbers anywhere on easyjet website or emails) and have been held in repeating loops that are designed to frustrate, whilst earning money.

I have been clearly told I will not be allowed on the plane if I do not provide this info in advance, and am now stymied by their system's inability to recognise my booking reference. I can not be completely sure that I will be allowed on the flight, when I turn up at the airport tomorrow.

    What a !!!!!! airline.

Try just logging in with just your email and password as that is what I do. You don't need to log in with booking reference

Thanks, yes I have been doing that. Yet the booking was made by my employer, using their email address. There seems to be no allowance for this on this mostly "holiday" airline.

So, I presume you have tried to log in using his email and password?
Maybe you can ask him to log in and fill in your passport details
