Help: phone broke and saif to be unrepairable under the manufacturers warranty

i dont know why they wouldnt, if a customer came into my store and asked for Proof of purchase i would print another copy off, its called customer service
That's why i have made complaint and i will not be renewing my contract.
But i the meantime is there anything i can do to get my phone fixed without having to pay for it?0 -
I have the same problem as Rar Rar. My Vivaz (free with a contract from CPW) is also 2 months old and won't charge. CPW sent it off to be checked, I'm told the circuit board has been ripped out, it's unreparable and is not under warranty, basically they are saying I've ripped out the circuit board while charging the phone. I've said I'm not satisfied so now they are sending it to Sony but it sounds like they will say the same thing. What can I do? It's a £300 phone. Also, whilst in CPW another customer was inthere saying the same thing about his Vivaz - he has insurance however and I don't - he wanted the phone changing for a different model as it's the second time he's had the sam fault. Surely Sony can't refuse to deal with this problem, what shall I do? Grateful for any ideas.0

CPW seem a lot more helpful than o2. Thats why I want to take my phone there to see if they can help me. Unfortunately i can't until I get a proof of purchase. Does anyone know how long it takes for o2 to respond to a complaint?0

It is common faulty with Sony Ericssons
If you have any issues with charging your phone (and sometimes network problems) the charger block/port has probably become disconnected from the main bored. But you will be told as your phone is physically damaged it is not under warranty. This must be a design fault with a lot of Sony Ericssons. I've seen this happen to a few peoples phones.0 -
Thanks for replying RevTheory and NedNats. When the phone comes back from Sony I'll probably write a letter of complaint and see if that gets me anywhere. I'd be intersted to know if anyone else has had the same problem.0

After a long wait o2 responded to my complaint and offered me a new phone as a gesture of goodwill. I'm glad i've got a new phone now but can't understand why they didn't just repair the phone.
How is everyone else doing?0
