Just received my sim for this offer. I am confused about the tariff I use though. Is it one of the simplicity or a simple payg?
The terms of simplicity state you need to give 30 days notice which suggests unless you cancel straight away you may be locked in to two months not one. Is this so or have I read the terms wrong? Their customer service told me that the contract ends after 30 days but

From their website
'
SIM Only

Before you can use an O2 SIM card in your existing phone you may need to get your previous network or service provider to unlock the handset. You will need to wait until the expiry of any existing minimum term you have agreed and a charge may be payable. 30 days' notice required for cancellation. SIM Only 12 Month customers are subject to a minimum contract term of 12 months and are eligible for an upgrade after 9 months.

Anyone out there know?

It's simple PAYG and an awesome offer!

This is the 12 month sim only contract, not the standard top up whenever contract.

Reading some of these have scared the life out of me as i'm doing the goals offer. Was expecting them to just debit £15 from my card automatically next month, surely that defeats the object of PAYG?

Its a normal O2 pay&go sim with a promotional offer.

    FAQ http://www.o2goals.co.uk/faqs.aspx#anchor14 says

Can I choose the tariff of my free O2 Pay&Go football sim?

The promotion runs across Text & Web, Unlimited, Simplicity and Your Country tariffs. Make sure you request your preferred sim tariff. Visit o2.co.uk/football for more information on individual tariffs.

When they talk about Simplicity they are referring to Simplicity on Payg not a Simplicity sim only contract. Its a new concept.

I am a bit confused about the tariff. The following in the 'How to claim' instructions suggests I must be on a simplicity tariff.
"Can I choose the tariff of my free O2 Pay&Go football sim?

The promotion runs across Text & Web, Unlimited, Simplicity and Your Country tariffs. Make sure you request your preferred sim tariff. Visit (their web site) for more information on individual tariffs."

The problem is, having followed the instructions 0.4p has been deducted from my £15 to pay for the 'GOAL' text, and with ony £14.96 they won't allow me to select a tariff. Min £10 topup complicates things.

OR, is is, as the MSE email and djrobmac suggested, OK on standard tariff lasting up to 6 months' usage?
