  • If you go on a payment plan you are not always gurenteed to have intrest frozen or dropped, also it will affect credit rating but if your ok with that then it's something to consider :-) yay on the sales x

Our credit rating will be absolute garbage now anyway and we won't want any further credit so we're not too worried about that.
They shut at 8pm so we haven't really got anywhere but have just started putting the details together, if there wouldn't be any wiggle room in our interest rates then it possible wouldn't be worth doing as can just self-manage a DMP. Do you have any idea why they can drop some people's interest rates and not others?

  • Just depends on the companies, we aren't on a debt man plan but we tried to get our intrest lowered and they basicallysaid because we meet our minimum they wouldn't help! I think you can do a debt remedy online And it gives you An idea of what might be good. Some companies are awkward and can be real bleeders you would wt a better idea if you posted on the debt free wannabe page more people will catch site of you :-) x

We have our telephone meeting planned with CCCS for Tuesday so hopefully get some good advice from them for the way forward. I'm not really sure what our options are and what is the best way to tackle our debt in the long run.

My parents also rang yesterday to say they should be able to give us another day of child care next year on top of the one they promised us last week. 2 days a week will be a bonus for looking for extra work for DW as long as the promised childcare actually happens...

Got all my info through the post yesterday for my referees exam, got a date for that as well - 30th June, filling CRB check in that day and doing my safeguarding children course aswell, so after that can then register with leagues for next season and start refereeing some friendly matches in July.

  • Ahhh right hence the decision to start the diary, I guess maybe you could ring companies and say you are struggling could they reduce intrest or lower the payments? You are struggling? It's never worked for me but worth a try, it might be an idea to question about iva and dmp on big board more people can answer common questions etc, x

    Hi folks

My guess is CCCS will sugguest a DMP( I know I would) honest they are the good guy's.
They will try to get intrest frozen, but it usually is after a few months,

IVA 90%+ of people on them they are not suitable for (with the ecconomy as it is) I doubt anyone can guarentee thier income for 5 years, I doubt they will sugguest this option

Bankruptcy is also a possibility, I'd select that rather than an IVA

But lets see what CCCS sugguest

Have you set up a new bank account that isn't linked to your creditors?

Now onto the clicks, cashback sites and surveys
    My best survey sites
    LightSpeed
    Valued Opinions
if you can get on it Pin*C*ne ( we are not really allowed to mention them)
YouGov - if you want to be in for the long haul, (took me 2 and half years to get £50)

    Cashback sites

FatCheese (£5 a year admin fee)
GetPoundsBack (£5 a year admin fee)
    TopCashBack (no fee)

    Daily Clicks
    CashBack Cascade
    CashBack Chief
FatCheese (£5 a year admin fee)
GetPoundsBack (£5 a year admin fee)
    TopCashBack (no fee)

You can both have accounts with these sites but you need to watch out for the IP address, and bank account details,
have you had alook at EagerLearners thread?
