How can i find exact details of my contract?

Ok so like others im having a couple of issues with vodafone about data usage. I've not been charged yet but i wouldnt be surprised if i am very soon so im gearing up for war as it were.

Anyways when i took out this particular contract in september 09, it was for a nokia n97(free) with 900 mins, unlimited texts and came with a special offer of free unlimited internet. I queried the FUP and he explained what i expected to her so i asked what fair usage was deemed, he stated 3000mb so around 100mb per day which is plenty so i went ahead (all over the phone).

Now my issue is ive been getting texts saying im going over my 25mb daily limit (never encountered this before despite going over this regularly) calls say my FUP is now considered 500mb (i use over 1gb usually).

So what i want to know is there a way of requesting a written form of your contract with the exact terms of your agreement, so not an updated one where it just states an FUP of 500mb?

Unlimited texts carries fair usage of 3000 texts.
Unlimited internet carries fair usage of 500MB (though they allow you to go over that amount within reason) - that is changing now.

You can look at the vodafone site and find standard contract t&c there.

How did you sign up, in a store or over the phone? Either way didn't you get given/ sent a copy of the terms and conditions at the time? If so did you read them or just rely on the sales pitch?

Nope nowt, ive now requested a copy, took a while for her to admit it was available.

I apologise, the texts are a FUP of 3000 but i found my notes i made at the time of buying (over the phone) and i wrote down a FUP 1gb so he either lied to me, or theyve change the terms of my contract. Im guessing the former as he also lied about other stuff which i know for a fact.

Oh well, shall see what comes when i get my first month of "normal" usage with my new phone, if im charged they will know about it.

I'd photocopy your notes and send with a strong letter to the complaints department, also ask for a transcript of the phone call.

did think about this but my scribbles on the back of a bit of paper are hardly proof as i could have written them at any time. Obviously i know myself thats what was said as i wrote it on the notes but hey ho.
