Samsung Tocco Lite - Good or Bad?
I am currently with Vodafone on a contract which finishes soon. However, after taking out this contract (almost 18 mnths ago), I have had lots of problems with the phone they supplied. (Keep returning the phone and they say there is nothing wrong!) At the moment, I have given up and am using an old Nokia. I was thinking of getting the above phone on a 30 day SIM only contract. My main use is actual phone calls and maybe 10 texts per month. I am looking for a phone with a reasonably long battery life. I am not technically minded, don't want lots of things I won't use, don't use the camera, don't listen to music, just want a phone with an alarm. I would have liked the option of using internet on the phone, but it seems like I have to pay £5 per month extra, which I have been doing for last 18 months but my phone is useless and I don't use internet as it is so slow so have decided it is probably not worth it. Is there any reason I should not go with this phone? I know it does not have 3G, but not sure how important this is for making calls?

Carp - some people like it I suppose but honestly its touchscreen and really you need small fingers to do anything meaningful. Only got it as it was cheap as chips deal. Camera awful, texting awful, playing games awful - what more can I say...
Tried it for internet - nothing to shout about.
I tried the Nokia 6303 which works better for me for internet but the Nokia e63 beats both of them (esp if you use it wireless lan connection). Stick to non touch screen phones I say. Nokia has much more to offer all round.0 -
For around £70 it's a decent phone.
Both my daughter and wife have the Tocco lite and they really like it. They use it for calls and texts only. Both have no problems with the touch screen ( it gets pretty good reviews ). My daughter can wear a phone out in under two months and the Tocco is holding up well to her abuse. I think the screen on the Tocco lite is on par with my Nokia 5800 and thats saying a lot .
I only bought them both the Tocco lite after reading review after review after bleeding review . Every review I read rated it highly and that was when it was around £100 or on contract. I paid £69 each for unbranded and unlocked Nokia generic phones ( I took a punt and used Craphone Oarhouse )

Warning - my Tocco Lite is 6 months old and the screen has failed entirely.
I'm not happy at all - luckily my old G600 which I was using up until fairly recently as a PAYG alongside my Tocco works fine and I have been using that. The bloke in the Vodafone shop did not seem surprised when I told him the screen had failed - is it an inherent fault? It has been treated with the utmost care and not been exposed to anything that could cause it damage.*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200 -
my screen also failed after 6 months - just got it back from o2 with all the 'new' upgrades and it's even worse then it was before. Worst phone I've owned(and I've had a few) camera carp, and just general phoney issues DON'T BUY PLEASE!:beer:0

Oh well, it seems even one of the best selling 5 star phones has a few fans :rotfl:
In that case I would suggest a Nokia 3310 :T0
