Repair or replace Dyson vacuum claener?

  • The motor on my DC14 just went so I bought a genuine Dyson part for £30 on Ebay, a torx screwdriver from B&Q and after watching some videos on Youtube, I spent a couple of hours replacing it myself. I also replaced the Hepa post filter (which was very black) and now the Dyson has fantastic suction and (almost) as good as new.

I trade the satisfaction of doing it myself against paying double to someone else. Moneysaving is the way to go.:D:D:D

Dyson quoted a standard fee to repair our washing machine. The man came and repaired it free of charge.
