  • This week I'm trying out batch cooking and stocking my freezer (first time, wish me luck!), so I'm not doing a day by day meal plan but instead a batch cook day and a couple of "spare" meals to fill in gaps. Plus we're away for the w/e camping (main reason I'm doing it this week as I can't go shopping mon/tues so any food we buy today will be more likely to go to waste!)

    I'm making:

1 x Ham, Mushroom and Pineapple Pizza (maybe 2 depending on how much dough I make)
2 x Tomato and Garlic Pizza Bread
2/3 x Chilli (One to be made into Chilli Cottage Pie)
    2/3 x Spag Bol
2 x Ham and Spinach Lasagne

    12 Cinnabons
    12 Beglian Buns

All to go in the freezer.

    "Spare" meals will be:

Toad in the Hole with mash and left over veg
    Potato, Ham and Pea Frittata
Mushroom Curry (with one of the jars of Pataks I got for the free Karahi)
HM Tomato Sauce with left over veg and pasta

Should keep us going for a while! x

Thanks for starting us off, PP. :T

    This week I've got:

Friday (tonight) - chilli cheese burger and salad (so naughty, but so nice!)
Saturday - out all day, then out for the football in the evening, so I'll have to try and find something edible at some point ;)
Sunday - smoky BBQ belly pork with ratatouille and a jacket potato
Monday - [STRIKE]back to work :( - fish kebabs (RM, from the freezer) with prawn and carrot pilaf[/STRIKE] sausage and prawn jambalaya
Tuesday - [STRIKE]HM veg pakoras with salad and garlic naan bread[/STRIKE] roast veg and sausage pasta bake
Wednesday - braised chicken with tomatoes and olives (recipe from a card I picked up in Waitrose last summer and never got round to trying)
Thursday - [STRIKE]cheese and potato pie with veggies of some sort - possibly more ratatouille[/STRIKE] chicken stuffed with stilton and wrapped in bacon, with roast asparagus and new pots

    Have a lovely week, all.

    Hiya
I desperately need to defrost my freezer, so will be eating from there as much as possible!

So far it looks like this:

Monday: Butternut squash bake and salad
Tuesday: Quorn fillets with tomato and olive sauce
    Wednesday: Vegeburger and salad
    Thursday: Fishfingers and chips
Friday: Curry made from quorn pieces
    Saturday: Pasta with smoked salmon
    Sunday: Probably a jacket potato

Breakfast is cereal or toast, and lunch will be homemade soup and bread or a sandwich.

Have a lovely weekend everyone :0)

Muddlemess- it's a place to post your weekly food plan so you can plan your grocery spending etc and get some ideas on what to cook if you are stuck :)
