I use a power washer and it's very effective. Just very slow - at least with the spray attachment I have - and hard on the back.

Trying to work out your 'back' problem :D
Stand upright .It is a little slow , but you are only standing there , no real effort.Gives you a chance to admire the rest of the garden.
It takes me three lazy afternoons to do my 'estate' :rotfl:

I used a pressure washer and it does a great job. after moving rubble and soil to the skip it looked an absolute mess, when finished used the pressure washer on it and it looks like new. only cost me around £35 ;)

it also cleaned the moss off my wall hope this helps

a pressure washer is good, but it does take time and there is then the problem of gallons of water, I tried all methods belkieve me and easiest and quickest with 10 mins work is the jeyes fluid.
Look after the pennys and the pounds will look after themselves:money:

Will still stick with the pressure washer . check how much water you use . garden/patio is not under inches of water.Even ( like me) you have a water meter I can use an awful lot of water for the cost of even a small bottle of jeyes.

Washer is a one off cost ( you can even clean the car with it ) ,

If you're happy to spend some money there are businesses that offer professional patio cleaning services.

There's one local to me (Hampshire) who use a machine they bought from the USA that effectively steam-cleans your patio and only uses water - no detergent.

It also works for indoor tiled floors and surfaces.

I can't tell you who they are as that would be advertising - I'll declare an interest as I work with them from time to time.

How much do these people charge tho. My elderly mum got quoted £400 for a medium size patio. Lucky I was there to shoo them away
