Sky+ Hd box failing!! and only 2 months old!

Hi all. Ok so I had sky +hd installed at the end of March this year.
It was an upgrade from our sky+ box so we are now in a new 12 month contract.
The box has recently started playing up. First of all it started to turn off by itself and would take ages to come back on again.
and now within the last 2 weeks it wont record programmes, wont pause live tv or rewind etc and it wont even let us watch any recordings we have on it.
I wandered has anyone else had this problem? Can I call sky and get them to look at it and sort it or will I have to pay a hefty sum of money?
I keep getting 3rd parties calling offering me insurance on the box and I keep turning it down. They keep informing me that to get sky to come and look at it will cost £80 alone, is this correct? Makes me wander If I should have taken out some cover.
I hope someone can help

As it's 2 months old it's under warranty. You might be able to fix it yourself with a planner rebuild or format though.0

ok so does that mean then that if its under warranty sky will come out and fix it for free?
what is planner rebuild and how do you do it?:j0 -
It's under warranty so they will fix it for free. So just book a service call.
The insurance is a complete waste of money, don't take it.No free lunch, and no free laptop

If that doesn't help you might want to try the full reset also detailed on the above link.0
