Depends on the Oyster card.
One with a travelcard on it is not transferable.
A PAYG one is transferable.
Though if it has a railcard registered on it then it would not be.0 -
If you're talking about a Family and Friends Railcard, then that will be of no use when travelling Kings Cross, Croxley, Wembley, Croxley, Kings Cross. From National Rail...Railcards and Oyster pay as you go
Senior, 16-25, Disabled Persons and HM Forces Railcard holders and holders of Annual Gold Card seasons can get 1/3 discounts on the adult Off-Peak Oyster pay as you go fare for most journeys on National Rail. They can also obtain a 1/3 discount on the Off-Peak daily price cap(see below). To qualify for these discounts, holders must register their Oyster card and Railcard or Annual Gold Card Season. This can be done at any London Underground ticket office or at a National Rail ticket office that issues Oyster cards.

you go credit on an Oyster card. However, when

Do not see the point in getting the kids one as we live in Edinburgh and do not visit London oftern (kids have never been before). Am just trying to be as prepared as poss as am recovering from a broken ankle and am worried re trip so trying to sort everything out before we go.0
