Amazing O2 offer

First post on the forum but thought I should mention this.
Have waited to post about this offer as I thought it was too good to be true, but my lack of trust has been found wanting, the credit you will read about lower down has come through and it is kosher.
Some O2 shops don't seem to know about it, and claim it doesn't exist or the benefits are different but it's just as I post.
We are corporate O2 users, so we have the O2 Open client privilege card, this allows employees of O2 corporate accounts to certain benefits at a huge discount.
Well just signed up the Mrs who had an O2 Pay&Go on which she tended to stick about a tenner every 4/6 weeks.
So signed her up for O2 Simplicity 10 12 month technically a sim only £10/month for which you get
300 minutes any network
unlimited text
unlimited data (Note:- this was situation when we signed up, is it still valid or restricted to 500MB now? Even so 500 MB is plenty for us as we also have an iPhone 3g on a very good rate.)
So far so good, however with the O2 Open card and proper employee id, eg payslip / id card etc you get £100 credit to the phone.
So you pay £10 for month 1, the £100 credit pays for months 2-11, and you pay £10 for month 12.
Additionally my Mrs got
her number and remaining credit ported over from her Pay & Go.
A free bolt on, she chose unlimited free calls to landlines.
AND
a free phone, in this case a Samsung C3050.
She basically she's getting a new phone, and all calls texts etc for a year for about £11.
The free phone offer was about to be withdrawn, but had already been extended a week when we went in and signed up and no reason to suspect it won't continue until 31 July which is when the Simplicity offer ends as I understand it. The shop we dealt with initially didn't know anything about it, then checked their emails, then they argued the credit was only £50 but put the paperwork through anyway. The £100 credit has just come through onto the account. The shop staff seemed a bit shell shocked when we left as they were bemused by the value on the deal.
Seems too good to be true doesn't it, but it is, true that is.
So if you know someone with an O2 corporate account, if they have an O2 open card, get stuck in, if they don't may well be a case of asking the person responsible for this in the Company.
Anyway, hope my first post has been of use, and thanks to all who have provided good advice over the years.
cheers

Great post. Well done with that deal!!In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0
