Virgin Media V+ HD extremely slow

I was hoping someone on here could give me some advice. We had Virgin Media V+ HD installed yesterday and since installation changing channels or using the tv guide is soo slow. It can take 5-10 seconds to change from one channel to the next! Its also freezing when trying to access things on the menu and the only way I can resolve it is by resetting the box. We had a standard Virgin box before this and had zero problems. Is this normal?

Unfortunately, they do have a reputation for being sluggish.sarahblaneuk wrote: »Is this normal?0 -
Thanks Rusty! Virgin Media have said it sounds like a faulty box and are sending someone out tomorrow to have a look. I'm not holding out much hope though

Useless,
Said engineer will come out and wipe all your recorded programs from the box, and then reboot it.
So anything you want to watch in the near future, you best watch it today before they arrive.

Ask the service tech to check your signal levels & the forward/return path is attenuated or equalised correctly.Your signal levels may be too low due to the increased service & may need adjusting.

Hi Hansi, how would I find out what type of box I have? it doesn't say samsung on the front.
Thanks:heart2:My gorjus twinnies are 2 years old:heart2:

In that case, it's not a Samsung. Mine says Samsung on the bottom right corner.0
