I've seen black plates on one of those faux classic (new) cars, no idea what they are but I'm sure Sarah Jane drives one on her adventures. Easiest way is to stay 100% legal.

People even get hassle with the hundred percent legal dubmeister pressed aluminium plates. The police see something they haven't seen before and the small black tash and swastika'd uniform come out - and knowing the law is optional. Example http://uk-mkivs.net/forums/t/286368.aspx

As others said it will just turn your car into a cop magnet.

Silly idea. If you do get stopped and ticketed you will get an MS60 conviction which will make getting insurance very difficult for the next 5 years.

Don't really see how this can be right as MS60 is a licence endorsement accompanied by points whereas having the wrong sort of number plate is non-endorsable offence

I love those Dubmeister pressed metal plates along with the "authentic" German dealer surrounds they sell. Which leads me onto the question - would you put the surrounds on the front & back or just at the back?

Found the "authentic" PSA Peugeot Paris surround on eBay which would look cool on my Pug :D

The filth pulled over a 40 ton truck in kidderminster yesterday, it had plates with a silly font and I can't see why else they stopped it.
I have a lot of problems with my neighbours, they hammer and bang on the walls sometimes until 2 or 3 in the morning - some nights I can hardly hear myself drilling ;)

Not so much an accident as a 'someone rammed it in the car park when it was parked'
  • Its a special edition, imported original mini btw.

so you know it is illegal but still want to do it.

would you hit someone with a baseball bat? i know it's extreme but still an illegal act.

as previous people have said, you run the risk.
You got to get through what you've got to go through to get what you want but you got to know what you want to get through what you got to go through.

Why do you want to put black/white plates on this car? What are you triying to achieve? If it's 'to make the car more attractive/noticeable', you will only attract the attention of, and get noticed by, the police.
"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"
