  • Afternoon all

Computer had a major hissy fit this morning and kept crashing on me so I took out the new graphics card and it now seems to be running fine - so I will have to sort out what is causing the conflict before I put it back in :(.

We have had rain here and I have an awful headache so I wouldn't be surprised if we get a storm.

jc ((((((((((Hugs)))))))))) What a worry. I hope the matter resolves itself soon x

Have been to farmfoods this morning and picked up a few bits didn't need much hence bill was £12 always a bonus.

Aldi tomoz, don't need much apart from fruit and veg so shopping bill this week is a nice and cheap :)

Dinner tonight is pasta with meatballs (Ikea's luverly ones- even though they are a tad on the expensive side I pay for the quality)

Well I am off to get a lettuce out of the garden for lunch which is prawns with mayo, and salad with a nice granary roll .......mmmm Hungry now :rotfl:

    BFN x

I know I'm missing loads of people. Appologies. No offence intended. Am off to have a sit outside to see if that helps.

    Have a good day.

I had my oven cleaned this afternoon and I am like a dog with two tails, a lovely lass came and spent about an hour and a half and its gleaming now .She was a real sweetie .As you do I got chatting to her and she was telling me how she was made redundant about a year ago and decided to join her Dads firm as a trainee as she had a couple of kids and a mortgage to pay as her and her OH had split. She was absolutely great, and even replaced the faulty bulb free of charge .Now I can walk past my cooker and feel really pleased that its looking so good .Best money I have spent this year ,I think I need to get out more :)
Still dull and overcast here but quite warm I am just going to put my feet up and read the back of my eyelids for awhile.DGS hopefully will be home tonight and I am dying to get all the lowdown on the BB job.
hope everyone has had as good a day as I have
    Cheers JackieO xx

Ah but i don't think I ever informed anyone;). Thanks for the good wishes folks. I tend to keep quiet about my birthday until it's safely over:)

Been to MrS today - don't usually go but they are doing F0sters, 24 cans for £10 so I bought that and their half price chicken breasts for my curry night next week. I got some others things as well including the famous 28p Fairtrade teabags which peeps on here rave about. I'm certainly willing to try them for that price! Also got their 9p curry sauce as I need some jars and thought that was a good way to get a couple. Won't serve it up at the curry-fest though:p.

Went to TKMX as well and got a biscuit box with choc chip cookie biscuits. It's a nice old fashioned design. Our various tins didn't survive DH's ruthless chuck out before we moved so I've been without tins for biscuits and cakes for months.

Been invited over to DD's and her BF's for tea - think it's venison sausage casserole yum yum. I just love living back in Scotland, so near to my 'kids' (grown up now). DD lives across the park from me and I just love seeing more of her. DS is in Edinburgh quite a lot too at the moment (usually in Glasgow so still a lot closer than when I was in Suffolk!).

Ok -off to post a parcel - sold a book on Amaz0n- every penny counts;).
Enjoy the rest of the day all

    afternoon all!

a late post from me today - things a bit stressful here earlier so didn't get chance to read or post.

(((hugs))) to all in need x

DS2 has been struggling a lot with college deadlines and its all got on top of him - he's sat up for the last 2 nights working and he woke us at 5.30am worried to death about it. We presuaded him to go to bed eventually but were both really worried about him. We dropped him off at lunch time so he could get a bit of sleep in. Anyway we'll see how he gets on today, I've offered to talk to the college but he wants to sort it himself. I've been waiting for a phonecall all afternoon in case he needed help or couldn't cope but so far nothing.
It was like this when he had his GCSEs, drove us and the school mad but got there in the end.
    anyway enough of that.

OS - not a great deal, house tidy, washing upto date and ironing.
Lawns need mowing but not got the energy for that.
Tea is burgers(quorn for me) mash, mushrooms(need using up) peas and gravy.

might go to tap class tonight - not been for weeks with one thing and another.

    hope everyone is ok x

Only able to breifly scan the posts due to my dizziness, but it looks like a lot of you are having a hard time at the moment, so big hugs being sent your way. I am trying to look on the positive side and Money Saving wise I am hardly spending anything being stuck in the house, no petrol, silly snack bits i buy from the shop at work etc! I have my assessment with the indepdent Dr this evening for the car accident claim, I am dreading having to go thorugh it all x x x

Lindy Loo - we all have our problems, picking up poo all day and worrying about your son is just as distressing as being in pain so please don't apologise for it. Hope things imrpove soon x x
Hmmm will add up debt and stick on on later!

    Afternoon again,

Another Thursday...... Another fight.... Girls (again) Mark not directly involved(just) as they were lining up outside the door. However some poetic justice the head was the senior member of staff on duty this afternoon and was second on the scene(after Mark) and he got a knee right in the b..................... Lets just say he will be a soprano for some time;)
One of the girls only started at the school on Monday:eek:

JackieO am loving the sound of your shiny oven. I scrubbed mine the morning after the election but as I hadn't had any sleep it wasn't too stunning.
Taplady take care. Hugs to you Taplord and Taplad

Am doing the mascarpone mushroom pasta tonight.(forgot to mention that it was a pasta dish-DOH!)

    Have a good evening.
