Morning all....................(((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.

A dull morning but at least its not raining - yet! I have a load of laundry in, hoping to get it dry before we go out this afternoon.

Aldi gets a visit from me this morning, I need fruit and veg.

This afternoon we are going to Tyninghame walled garden for a visit. The gruop we belong to arranges several garden visits during the summer. There are talks during the winter so there is something on most months.

OH played bowls yesterday afternoon, he beat the favourite to win the competition so goes through to the next round, he has another match tomorrow afternoon.

DD2 is coming up next month and has suggested we go out one night for a meal, as OH has a birthday this month and mine is in August. We need to ask around for somewhere local. There is a pub in the village, not sure what sort of things they do. DGC have to be careful what they eat, both have allergies, I must remember to get soya milk before they come.

The garden has taken quite a hit with the rain. OH is going out to see what he can do to sort it out.

RR - That is what the battersby's next door are like, the only thing i was told was to keep a log of what/when/where/heard etc. but to be honest i got a bit obsessed with it so stopped it and now TRY to ignore it/get the kids indoors when it kicks off.

    welome gingerbiscuit

wet and miserable here, got to take DD to her english exam later , then i'm off out for lunch with friends :j

came down to a terrible smell in the kitchen ( like vomit ) couldnt find anything, eventually tracked it to the fridge, a bottle of fruit smoothie had been laid on its side with lid not on properly , it had leaked into the vent at the back where it evaporates water and the warmth from there had turned it rancid , I have had to take the back of the fridge off and clean it all out - smells much better now :D

    think I will have coffee
    have a good day everyone

    Morning peeps
(((hugs))) to those who are having such a difficult time for different reasons.
NPM - you're right, the week will come to and end. Sounds like you have a few cooking plans so that will be good to immerse yourself in.
JackieO - you are right to be so proud of your DGS. He works so hard. I watched BB years ago but I only liked the series where not much happened and everyone got on! Haven't watched it for the last few years.
Waved DH off for a couple of days - he hasn't been away for ages so I'm sure I'll miss him.
Off to do a load of washing. Need to do some ironing too so might put on TV this afternoon and do it then. Sounds a plan.
I got Rose Elliot's New Complete Vegetarian from DD for my birthday (I hit a BIG number yesterday) so I will have a curl up on the sofa with that and a big mug of tea later. There are a few soup recipes that I read yesterday which sound good. You can tell that the weather has turned here!
Ok, off for a browse on here then will start tackling some house jobs.

Good Morning All - and ((HUGS)) to jv2703, nmlc and anyone else having a difficult time just now.
Am about to start learning a brass instrument - at my age! DH and DS both (used to) play and I think it might be fun. First lesson in about 30 minutes!
Then off to London to visit DS again. Hope it's easier than last week. He sounds less sedated at least. So, no OS here really.
    Take care!

  • WMF happy birthday for yesterday:j:D
I have that Rose Elliott book too and it is fab;)

God am sooooo bored. Have made the ginger cake, sorted my jam jars out and about to make that. Good job I still have OH here as if I was on my own whilst DS was away I would be tempted to live in my PJs and just mooch about here not cooking anything or doing anything much.

    Morning All

Still dry here this morning, but rain due this evening, rather windy and grey. Had a lovely day at Padstow yesterday, even had some sun:D. Today we are just trying to get ourselves organised to go down to the southern Cornwall coast, as it is supposed to be brighter down there (according to n9eav anyway). Tomorrow evening we are going to see some friends near Falmouth.

((hugs)) jc hope things get sorted.
jackie-0 hope you get a nap later - I am with you cannot "get" the new stuff, leaves me cold, bored, etc.
redruby - I would try talking to your community bobby on the qt, asking his advice. Maybe a tape of the conversation would not go amiss:mad:
NPM - the feeling of loss is showing how much time you do give Noah, and what a good Mummy you are, please be good to yourself and try to relax.
nmic (((hugs))) to you and your family, please accept my condolences.
beemuzed - hope you find DS1 better today, enjoy playing your instrument.
:hello: Gingerbiscuit - sound like you could do with a ((hug))
