:(Well I plucked up the courage to ring CCCS today to let them know that I wouldnt be able to make our 11th payment until next week and also I would only be able to pay half our due payment as I would not be able to pay mortgage if I paid the full amount.
I have to do a review with them next week to see whether I need to reduce the payment this much for the next few months due to reduced income so I will have to tell OH (who I kept debt hidden from until last year) to expect phone calls etc and it will be interesting to see how many put back interest etc on - still, we have to be able to pay priority bills so there's no avoiding it !!

Afternoon all! I plucked up the courage and spoke to Capital One and they are waiting to hear from CCCS and have FINALLY stopped phoning (touch wood). I can't explain how relieved I am! Also, Tesco are great. They've defaulted me already (which as we all now know is good to get out of the way early on) and their letters are just factual, not scary or threatening. I felt like writing back to Tesco to say thank you for being so nice.

    Hope everyone is ok.

Having a bad time recently. With split up of partner due to my debts and other contributing factors feel like im going of the rails here.
As i have been paying all the bills etc and OH been paying for shopping and spending money cant afford to go out at all now. OH still lives in property and wants it sold and have just found out my payment to CCCS was not taken out this month as i didnt have enough in the bank to cover it I had increased it and the TV licence quarterly payment came out too. Feel like im sinking, got my panic attacks back to.:(

    Hi everyone,

Hoping somebody can help on the letter I received from Next this morning. It said:

To enable us to process the reduced payment, I would be grateful if you could sign and return in the pre-paid envelope this reduced payment agreement, and credit agreement. Once this has been received your account will be amended to expect the reduced payment

Now, I also received my normal statement a few days ago and on the statement it said that as per the agreement they are expecting the lower amount.

So now why do I have this letter and from what I've read on this forum you shouldn't sign anything from the creditors!

What would be the best course of action?

    Thanks everyone!

Are you with CCCS or Payplan, or are you doing your own DMP? If you're with CCCS or Payplan, I'd not sign anything your creditors send, but if it's self-administered, I don't know. I don't trust them to be honest, but someone more knowledgeable may be along soon hopefully! I'd be very cautious......

    Hello,

Just started sorting out my DMP with CCCS.... sent letters off to creditors, changed bank accounts etc.

I've received a couple of letters back from Tesco and Mint saying that i didn't sign the initial letter and they won't do anything until i sign the letter that they have sent.

I read somewhere not to sign anything!? What do i do please????

    Thanks....

Hi MissPriss, I am with CCCS but I am very cautious about this one. Think I'll just file it for now and see what happens! Thanks again :)

    Hi all,
So my dmp is almost off the ground, first payment comes out 1st July.So far I have heard from 2 of my creditors.MBNA/virgin are accepting our reduced payment, freezing interest and stopping all charges!!Tesco sent a very nice letter explaining they would have to default us etc etc but I think all will be fine with them judging by the letter!(fingers crossed anyway)HBOS,we have 2 overdrafts,a loan and a credit card with them, our biggest creditor but have heard nothing from them, nano, zero, zilch not a peep.I have sent them 2 letters and a token payment but they do not seem to be acknowledging anything,oh they have placed a restriction on my cc online account but thats it. Does anyone have any experience of hbos,is this the norm for them?? Its kinda worrying me the fact they are not responding...at all!?:(

Hi ive heard from all my creditors ( they have all accepted) except Halifax ,i cant see whats happening because they have stopped accsess to online account they are far our biggest creditors with 2 cc ,a loan and od with them ,but today i recieved my cc statement it was just the same ,charges ,late payment ,please contact us ,the usual stuff but i was so cross , we are trying to sort ourselves out and they were just ignoring it so i rang them ready to give them it ,but she was lovely couldnt have been more helpful said yes they have recieved communication from cccs but it hadnt been sorted yet but if you can hold for a few minutes i will see what i can do ,she came back and said all charges and interest would be stopped for 12 months and then it would be reviewed i was stunned ,thats my cc, my dh works away and they wont discuss his accounts with me so i am hoping and praying they will do the same for him So after all that what im saying is Halifax seem to take longer to sort things out than the others but dont panic im sure they will.

    Thanks everyone!

I have a Next a/c too, and I don't sign anything they send. Next started credit a/cs for people who only wanted to buy stuff online, and I think that's going to get them into a bit of trouble along the line.
My advice would be, just keep paying every month, and ignore any letters asking for signatures. (Says she who only paid 25% of her DMP this month, PP were great, but I don't think they are very happy with me:()
