That makes it a lot clearer. I just wondered about the CCJ ruling a higher amount but if that then becomes a priority debt that would still enable the DMP to continue.
Must stop asking all these questions. PDD told me off - rightly so -as I always anticipate the worst. Just wanted to have things clear in my mind.:)
Ask away Lou. PDD has the wisdom to know that fretting is wasted energy but some people relax know by being able to ask questions and being informed. Everyone's different.Chillimonster wrote: »Just had a letter from NPower saying they overcharged me by £8.75 in 2007.
Got a form to take to the Post Office and they will give me the cash!
Chilli
Now Chilli you go easy, will you be taking an escort? Seriously I wouldn't have bothered going to collect it a couple of years ago. Now I think oooooh £8.75! That's 2 curries if I make the rice, or 1 take away or a nice bottle of red or three pints on Friday night:beer:

Are we sad or enlightened??? Answers on a postcard please
I am feeling a warm glow of satisfaction. Have bought 3 decent Christmas presents today for teeny amounts of cash, usiing money for free (yea the Debenhams £5-00 one!)/discount vouchers/E-bay specials.
£8-75 is giant spending spree - go enjoy!!!
Have a good weekend everyone
Hope this message makes sense - I've pressed something on my keyboard to make the print go all haywire (or else I've had a glass of red too many!:o)

Hi ya, so you're going it alone and not using one of the DMP companies? Any info can be found here: http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/england_wales/factsheet.php?page=29_debt_management_plan
If you would like to get someone to manage it for you, then PayPlan https://www.payplan.com and CCCS https://www.cccs.co.uk are two freebies to use.
As for a direct link for creditor contacts - not as far as I'm aware. You should find contact details on the back of your statements?
Any other questions, please ask, someone's normally around to help out if we can.DMP mutual support thread No: 2430 -

It depends on the contract Ina. I am essentially paying 1/3 less than I was to most creditors. I couldn't work out what was happening originally as I sort out the formulae. Turned out it was because I had a bank loan so that particular one finishes in 10 months time and the others finish together in 3 years time. Even if you are not pursuing a DMP through them I'm sure CCCS will still help you work it out. Have you tried their anonymous debt remedy tool it will work it out online for you as I recall. Also don't forget there is nationaldebtline too.
Good luck with it.

thanks for your quick reply again
this maybe to simplistic but i have taken the overall debt and worked out a percentage of each creditor to that debt. Then taken the income i have available to creditors and divided that in percentages evenly
if that makes sense! does that sound along the right lines?
thanks0 -

Always expect the worse! then the better outcome is a surprise yet you are prepared for the bad!0
