Voice Dialling on Mobile Phones

Hi Guys ,

I have the iPhone 3GS but I am trying to find a new "top line" mobile that has proper voice dialling , I am a HGV driver and would be lost without it and the iPhone's is good but I would prefer a smaller phone or more recent handset. Voice Dialling is so important to drivers and being able to press on a earphones headsets button and say who i want to call is such a big must have in a phone for me , I heard a Nokia I think the e73 has Speaker Dependant (voice records by yourself) and Speaker Independant (predicitive voice dials like robotic stephen hawkings gets about 1/100 correct) but I am unsure what other mobiles do this , I bought the New Sony Ericsson X10 Mini but it didnt have it and thusfore returned it which was a shame as it was a really cool handset size , any ideas guys ?

My friend has a Blackberry 9700, and that has Voice Dialing. He can say into his Bluetooth earpiece 'Call Joe Bloggs', and it will call Joe Bloggs. I think there is other functionality, such as playing a song etc, but not sure. I think most of the modern Blackberry family have this feature.

  • Hi , many thanks for the response I tried the Blackberry Bold 9700 but it does not allow a ringtone to be played thru its wired headset so if you cannot feel the phone vibrate then you end up with a missed call , must admit i thought the 9700 was really great until i found that out.
