    Hi all

Had a lovely birthday yesterday, sun shone, grandkids didn't fight or puke. Fun was had by all and then home for a nice pizza and a bottle of vino... Bliss.

Today, I woke up to find out that I'd won a tenner on the lottery, got a £10 payout from one of those free cards that you're meant to call to find out how to get your prize (you can do it by post but it takes a long time) AND whilst trying to sort out problems with my paypal account I discovered that I had £18 in there too. So that's all going into the paying off Egg card. :D

Not got time today to read all the posts so sorry if I've missed out anything important, please give me a prod if I have.

Have a great day all *waving*

    Hi Moneypenny,

Think I mised the fact that it was your birthday yesterday!

Anyway, belated happy birthday from me - sounds as it was a good one for you!

Hi Di, if they are keeping in touch like that, it does sound hopeful - fingers crossed for him, and crossed for Pixie & Jen too of course

I think Elsie said her son would find out today what treatment he is going to need, didn't she? So fingers crossed for him too

In fact I've got so many fingers crossed, I can hardly type 0002020C.gif

I think 3Dogs has a point here, Di.

They do seem to be going out of their way to keep him informed - let's hope it is a good sign.

Think you are right about Elsie's son, as well. Wonder what the news is from there?

    Just got today's post.

Apart from the usual overdue reminders there was a letter from an outfit called "resolvecall", who are acting on behalf of Mercers, who are acting on behalf of Barclaycard.

They are asking me to contact either them or Mercers to pay the account - the overdue amount, not the total amount.

    They go on to say

"Failure to do so may lead to a personal visit being made by one of our representatives to your home to collect payment. Should you fail to contact us, we may commence legal proceedings to recover sums due on your Barclaycard account".

I know that Niddy will be offering advice when he has a minute. I am not sure whether they should be sent a "threat of doorstep viit" or whther they can be ignored!

In the meantime, I was wondering whether anyone had heard of this outfit?

And, please note, I am not panicking at all this time!!!

Hi, and thank you for remembering me.

Well, ladies and gents the drinks are on me.:beer::beer:, Son has his results, and after his surgery 2 weeks ago, they are fairly certain that they got all the cancer. He had a blood test today, and providing that comes back ok, then he will need no further treatment. He has to see the Consultant every month for the next year, and have a CT scan every 3 months for the next 2 years. So all in all, its absolutely brilliant news. OH and I are so relieved:beer:. And I feel that the follow-up care he is to be given is wonderful.

All these money worries pale into insignificance....

    Hi,

I think I would send a Threat of a doorstep visit letter off. What a difference a couple of weeks makes, we would all have been worrying and panicking before. Barrickading the door, electrifying the fence, water hose pipe through the letter box.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Hi Elsie,

    This is absolutely brilliant news!

I know we have all been thinking about you - so thanks for letting us know the outcome. And, as you so rightly say, it does make the money worries pale into insignificance!

And, with all these regular check-ups it will be like keeping a high powered car fully tuned!

    Thanks Elsie,

Good point - it won't do any harm to send off the letter.

And you are right about how we would have panicked - as I did a couple of weeks ago!

Thank you, I think so too. They emailed 3 times today.

In fact when he e-mailed to thank them - they also got back again to say "not a problem and his name" and that he was welcome.:j
    So here's hoping.;)

I hope everything going okay for Elsie's son as well X
