    Hi Niddy,

Not sure about the sun- haven't seen much of it here!

I bet you are looking forward to the break - you certainly deserve it!

Are you watching any of the football - just random stuff, not England?

    Hi Ann

Glad to see the postie at your end is having a few days off from annoying you (i.e, no junk mail from DCA's).... We're going on the Saturday for a pish up, no other real reason - I thought the rubbish team that can't beat the USA play Friday next? I may go to the local and [STRIKE]wind up the nuggets[/STRIKE] watch it - hmmm, we'll see :D:D

Its been sooooo sunny here today, I think I was whinging about that at like 8am and 10am - I should have went to bed at a decent hour, i'm too old for this lark hahaha

Right, off to finish my dastardly thread

    Hi everyone

Sorry I had not posted earlier.

    What a day!!

My mum's washing machine caught fire, but instead of her ringing the fire service she rang me in a flap, so I told her to get off the line, so I could ring, she panicked and left the phone on and on the side and it was still connected to mine.
My moby is not working either, then luckily one of the family turned up at her house and acted very quickly!!

My nerves have been so bad today.

So I went to mum's, the machine is now in the garden, but OMG, the front of it have melted and black.

Time for another complaint, its only 3 years old and an Indesit!

Anyway, with dad, he is quiet, very confused and his breathing not great.......:(, they are getting more steroids down him and trying to coax him to take more oxygen.

Hope everyone else's day have been better.:);)

Oh dear - that's not good!

Ive just took ownership of a new Indesit (which is like Hotpoint) Washer, Dryer & Dishwasher (shortly) so I hope this aint a regular occurrance? eeek

Take some photo's of the item and contact home insurance as well.... if your mum was not hurt then Indesit will not really do much, sad to say but iit's the "claim culture" that exists - they have ruined it for genuine cases...

That said, I do know rainbowliberty got a few grand from a well known supermarket - it may be worth speaking to her as she does know how to get compo from people if you see what I mean :D:D

Hope everything is ok, other than that dram (thank god she was in at the time)!

    Oh Di,

    You poor thing!

As if you haven't had enough to cope with!

Your mum is so lucky to have you near and prepared to help - you must be a great source of strength and support for her. It's still hard on you, though.

I hope your dad improves - so at least you have one thing less to worry about!

Be very careful with comments on age;);)

And best of luck with the thread - at least you know that it will be well received and greatly appreciated.

    Cheers Niddy.

I used to have an indesit and it lasted years.;)

Think there must have been a blockage in one of the pipes (I did tell her to use Calgol) as this helps keeps down limescale, so it seems the water when coming through the drawer to collect the powder it went the other way sort of thing and leaked onto the wiring next to the circuit board.
    A very scary experience though.

Yes good timing too I think...lucky she was there at the time.;)

    Thank you as well Ann.;)

I felt so helpless, as I live a few miles away from mum but luckily someone in the family had turned up, she was numb she said, it was the shock of it all I expect.

And with dad, they said they may have to section him again if he refuses all his meds, they are getting round him slowly though, thank you.

    your all fab.:A
