When a japanese firm took over one of our shipyards on the Tyne in the 70's now all long gone like the Clyde shipbuilding industry. The workers didnt have to to learn the language when the rivveter asked the apprentice to pass a hammer to him, they shouted "Hoy ya hamma ower here"

    Hi everyone,

Just come back on after watching the tennis.

Jinny, I think you are entitled to some "retail therapy" after your trama with he neighbour. Go and buy something nice - think there are some sales on now so you may well find a bargain, and end up not spending as much as you thought you would have to, if you get my meaning!

Hope everybody had a good day - haven't done much today. And no post AT ALL today - I have a nasty feeling that they save it all up, so will probably get a deluge tomorrow. Ah well, that's another day!

At lunch today, i sat by a man from Glasgow he speaks with a lovely accent. I wonder if that is how Nid sounds?

Perhaps it was NID himself, SW. ;);)
