    Over 80% is excellent!!:T

And it never stops! Just that the type of worry changes over the years - part of the "being a parent" job description!

Hmmm, you're not wrong Ann - we still worry, it's normal. But she lives with her b/f so I s'pose I have to let him take that mantle - but he does need to be awake to do that I s'pose :rotfl:

I just want her to get a good job so she can take care of us, we'll have the "West Wing" please love :D:D:D

    Hi Di,

I do hope you do get to see him. I am sure it will make all the difference to you - and your dad, too, of course.

All this talk and jokes of football seems somewhat frivolous by comparison - but we do need a bit of comic relief!

    Hi Ann

I rang the unit and they did say there is little improvement, and they managed to pursuade dad to eat his dinner, although slow but that does not matter as such and they have also managed to pursuade him again with both his oxygen and nebuliser.

There is no visiting today but one of us in the family will ring later as requested to find out if we are able to later after tea.

    So far so good though.;)

And of course, that is so right about comic relief, I totally agree.......:j, otherwise we would all be driven barmy :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:;) XXXXX

    Thanks for the update Di,

Well, at least he is "hanging on in there".

And if he is getting the oxygen that must be a good sign.

Here's hopping for a big improvement and a visit from you very soon.

Everyone on here is there for you!

I got a funny txt yesterday about the World Cup " It's like World War II all over again, the French surrender, the Americans arrive at the last minute and the Brits are left to fight the F**kin' Germans"

LOL I heard that one on LBC the other morning, made me smile, but I do wonder if the young un's understand it lol

Now, that's what I call greed!!!

Thanks for the web site address - weighed myself this morning (do it every Friday in Boots) and have lost 2 lb since last week. However, I AM wearing lighter clothes this week, so it has probably just stayed the same!

Think positive Ann. If anyone had told me I'd lose over 3 1/2 stone at my time of life I'd have laughed at them. I'm now lighter than I was when the kids were little and only half a stone heavier than when I was in my mid 20s:D

    That's impressive!

I have lost about half a stone since retiring - mainly by being very careful what I eat (and not the snacking I did at work) plus either walking or gardening every day!

I could do with losing another 9 lbs - but the last bit is always the harder!

oh my gosh. I have missed out, all the girlies have had a weigh in. I keep eating crisps at work and today i had Minstrels too. I wobble!!!!

Fitz has had some exciting man espionage type stuff that only Nid can understand.

And Niddy's daughter's visiting. Fab. And she is a clever one too. Hooray. Not a surprise seeing as her mum and dad are clever and nice too!!!

All is well in the world and the weather is wonderful. I can't wait for the summer proper and i am not even travelling abroad but i am sooooo excited.

I feel so happy. This is like a family to me. I am so chuffed to know you all.

I am chuffed to know everyone as well, SW.

And I have found it easier to control my weight since leaving work - ate too much when I was at work. And crisps would be my downfall!
