Owing ebay money

I could obviously be wrong, but just find it strange that such a large and noticeable box could go "missing" and not turn up..
What is this National Idiot on ebay day or something. Its a postal service things go missing thats what insurance is for.0 -

How did you send the putter? If you have proof of postage and sent it RM, you can claim £41 back from the Post Office.
If you can't PROVE that the putter arrived (i.e. a tracking number), then you need to pay the £50, otherwise you could end up owing more!
Loads of things get lost in the post, hence you should always send things tracked.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Firstly eBay will very quickly set on a debt collection agency. Ignore them and watch your credit rating fall.
In eBays opinion you are in the wrong, simple. You are required by UK law to ensure an items gets to a buyer. To protect yourself you should send with tracking or accept they will get the money back if they lie or if they tell the truth when the item fails to arrive.
But with proof of posting you can claim back off Royal Mail up to £41.
Incidently Royal Mail can lose absolutely anything and do.0 -
A few years ago when I moved I didnt have the internet for a while, when I went offline I owe around £12 to eBay. I intended to pay when my internet was back on, but in the meantime I got a letter from a collections agency asking for £24. I always make sure I pay them now, I pay my listing fees (if any) right after Ive listed them, then the FVF when i get invoiced so I know its all settled, as has been posted already, you never know when youre gonna suddenly want to start selling again0

Ahh yes there definitely is such a thing as a stupid question. When someone is trying to avoid there responsibilities and blaming everybody but themselves for their problems yes they are an idiot in my book. I will happily give advice to anyone but when people are being this stupid I reserve the right to tell them such.
If you don't like my responses there is always the blocked bidders list0 -
I totally agree with you.thepedestrian wrote: »Please be nice to all MoneySavers : There's no such thing as a stupid question and, even if you disagree, courtesy helps.*_*_* Department of Redundancy Department *_*_*0 -
Hi BigAndy, have you still got the postage receipt for the "lost" item? What I would do is pay Ebay (reluctantly) and put in a claim for the lost item with Royal Fail. Hope you get it sorted. x0

I've been reading this thread with interest as eBay have overcharged me on my last statement by £400+ which I can no way afford. They have charged me $1 on a few hundred listings I have over on ebay.com for a feature called 'gallery plus' (which apparently has a fee of a $1 per listing) but I have never had to pay for this feature before - just for all listings from May (note no new listings, they're all GTC so got auto relisted).
The funny thing is, when I go into my listings to manually remove this optional 'extra', it is showing as free. Confused!
I've spoken to LiveHelp twice. First time was useless and the second time they were quite helpful and said that my account would be credited back for this gallery plus thing as although they confirmed it is now a fee paying feature they could see that it was showing as free for me which is a mistake on their part. That was on Sunday and my account still not has been credited. They also said that each listing would have to be revised so that gallery plus was unchecked so this doesn't happen again (my listings are GTC so keep getting relisted each month). I have tried doing this via the 'bulk edit' tool on my ebay but it has failed to remove this gallery plus feature. I've also tried removing it via Turbo Lister but that's not worked either.
Has anyone else been in this situation? Help!
Cheers,
S.0
