They ask the buying price to see if it's genuine? And if you are selling a fake you are going to tell them you got it for a tenner down the market?
I bought a very high end pair of sunglasses for buttons at an auction. Nobody else knew what they were. One tenth of retail. Am i chuff going to tell the buyers.0 -
Maybe she wants to know how long the straps are. From Starrystarrynight to Starrystarrynight1 and now I'm back...don't have a clue how!0

I would tell them you don't really want to give specific details, so say 'roughly' how much, say if you purchased it for £130, say you paid more than £100. I guess it isn't going to make much difference telling them if you bought it in John Lewis or Marks or where ever it was.
As for season, if you bought it in July/August 2008, then tell them that, it's up to them, in my opinion to decide, which 'season' that is.
As for the picture, you can do it without showing your face, and I would suggest wearing something nice to match. It will make the bag look more attractive. (saggy old leggings and a dirty teeshirt wouldn't do your marketability much good, not saying you would, but it's worth thinking about how best to present your item.)0 -
Hope no-one ever asks me what I paid for stuff as I wouldn't have a clue what it was new.
I'm a business seller of many second hand items and hope to buy my things for a lot less than they sell for. Doesn't always work like that of course, but that's the idea!0 -
Have to say, when looking for bags I always want to know where it's come from and if it doesn't state then I do ask the make of it - it it's not clear from the picture I would ask for the length of the straps as I don't like 'boob' shoulder bags I like ones that sit lower - I wouldn't ask how much it cost though - probably wouldn't ask what season it was but I can understand why people would.0

I told her I bought it in Debenhams and the year, and how much it was. I can't be bothered to send her any photos!0
