Sky HD Bundles

I've been looking into getting a freeview HD recorder, but as they are still quite new the prices are £250+. This caused me to consider the sky bundles with Phone, Broadband & HD+ TV. I think it would cost £39/month for all of that with Sky. We currently pay approx. £17/month for line rental from BT and broadband with Plusnet. So I'm wondering if we sign up for the sky bundle for 12 months and then cancel the tv (or everything if we had to), would we be able to keep the HD+ box & recieve the HD channels?

Anyone know? Thanks in advance.

You would be able to keep the actual box however if you cancel your sky sub then you wouldn't receive the majority of HD channels ( ATM BBC,itv,channel 4 are the only HD channels free) and also you wouldn't be able to use the record/pause etc features.

Ok, thanks. That answers my question. I'd be happy with the HD channels mentioned as that is all you get on freeview anyway, but if you can't record etc then I may as well stick to my original idea of the freeview recorder.

Also if you cancelled your sky account they do give you the option to pay £10 per month for a sky+ sub (allows you to record/pause etc) but that's all you'd get for your tenner! Not really value for money in my opinon but just to let you know
