I am going to change my wireless network name as suggested rather than leaving it as the router make
EDIT - if I change my WPA key to a random one will I need to remember what it is for a future reference0 -
Hi slowen. First of all, if you're using the Acer from Comet take a look at your first post about setting up wireless. I posted on there about the Acer Client Utility, but I don't think you saw it:

Yes, you'll need to remember your WPA key "just in case" something goes wrong and your computer "forgets" the key.0 -
It's always stored in your router config, so should you ever need it you can go to 192.168.1.1 with a wired connection and copy and paste it onto a pc.
Or stored it in a txt file (notepad).
Or just go to https://www.grc.com/passwords and get another one if you forget it. and copy and paste it into the router and PC config - that whole process should take less than a minute.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0
