WOW never seen one of those before, looks good..

Been a few years since we had bunnies.

We always gave them access to grass ( whether is was the free run of the garden or in runs when we had babies) I know you said you dont want one of the grass but ours always loved munching on it.

Thanks for the replies..well we were on the verge of murder in this house with dd nagging every 5 mins so we got this one:

    http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav.jsp?action=detail&fh_secondid=10807654&fh_view_size=10&fh_eds=%3f&fh_location=%2f%2fcatal!!!1%2fen_GB%2fcategories%3c%7b9372012%7d%2fcategories%3c%7b9372024%7d%2fcategories%3c%7b9372083%7d&fh_refview=lister&ts=1276546830813&isSearch=false

it will go in the garden so bunny will have constant access to the grass and lots of room. Although i was put off by putting it on the grass we have had the lower part of our garden all decked and spend 90% of our time on there now so it is not the end of the word losing some space for him!..i also hate the feel of grass under my feet but thats another post so am again not too fussed using some of it up!

I love the omlet one btw it's fab!
Thanks for the replys guys..job done! x

Hi thanks for that advice. He has been on the grass before and he was fine. We had another bunny though at the time who did dig and this is another reason the garden got so ruined..we don't have him anymore though due to various issues. I will keep a close eye out and deal with it if so but tbh he goes in his run everyday and there has never been any sign of digging..if he dares in his nice new hutch with all that room there will be trouble!

Hi. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I wouldn't buy any of those hutches. The minimum requirement is a 6ft x 2ft x 2ft hutch and a 6ft x 4ft x 2ft run.

    How about this one:

Just realised you've already bought one. You may want to re-think the digging tho, you're bunny might not did but a fox can and certainly will.

Does look a bit on the small size especially for the big price tag! I would either modify what you've bought and add a bigger run or have a seperate bigger run. When we had bunnies as kids we had a homemade hutch and pen. The pen was about 6'x6' and a few feet high ...4 pieces of timber per side with chicken wire. 4 sides were held together by curtain wire with one side that could be undone so the whole pen could be stored flat or transported when we went on holiday to rabbit sitters house - used to peg garden netting over the top to stop bunnies hopping over. They did try burrow under so couldn't really be left unattended for hours. If left in the same spot the grass will soon be bare so you might need to keep moving it about a bit.
Definitely put some additional bolts on the hutch if you haven't already .

Hi that is pretty much what he has now in size but our run is seperate so all in all he has the room to run round as goes in the run or the garden freely. The new one im sure looking at that is a similar size just layed out differently? there are no real space sizes on that one though so not sure.
I don't mean to sound mean and know it is not really the attitude to have but how many people have huge hutches? unfortunatly not many people have huge gardens and for those of them that do im sure they dont fill it with a huge hutch equivalent to their house?! I dont mean that in a horrible way just saying i think he has a lot more room than most get. I work from home too so he is as i said always running around freely or in his run.

Hi we have just had another look and can add our current run onto the bit where the door opens at the end so he has all that too if need be..just need to remember to move it at night so 1 he doesn't get eaten and 2 it doesn't ruin the grass! Guess time will tell how much room it takes up when it arrives! Also there is only 1 bunny going in it so i think he is quite lucky!
