House moving and stress

there are a bunch of us in the same position & it's really helpful to know that your situation isn't unique. Me - I'm dealing with a mortgage co who managed to put the wrong address on the paperwork. They have admitted it's their mistake, but it's added a 2-week delay to everything as they have to reissue everything ...0 -
I think the problem is that people only have a story to tell if its all gone wrong. If it goes without a hitch there is little to talk about. Its a bit like googling a company and your find more bad reviews and problems about it than good for the same reason.0

Stressed people make bad decisions.
Stressed people overpay, because 'they don't want to miss out again.'
Stressed people barely skim their survey, as 'its been weeks already, get on with it'.
Stressed people make bad decisions - like an FTB choosing to buy a repo https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2345385 , for example.
Yes, the paperwork is annoying. Yes, finance/utility companies are incompetent. Change is stressful.
But hundreds of thousands of households move every year, and still there is no equivalent to the "stop smoking helpline" for "stressed movers". Because people are resilient.
Letting it get to you, to the point of doctors appointments, is taking it too seriously.
Oh, did I say?, stressed people make bad decisions.
Where did the OP say that they were rushing or not doing things properly??!!
The OP was just venting stress on here- probably in order to get it out the system so that they can continue to tackle things in the 'real world' in a calm manner. That is what forums are for.
Rant and rave all you like on here OP, thats what we are here for!!:silenced:They Were Up In Arms wrote: »I think tabskitten is a crying, walking, sleeping, talking, living troll :cool:0
