Hi looking for a bit of advice i have sold a few things on ebay but have never had any issues.
Last night i sold an X6 mobile phone the auction ended with a buy it now of 180.00 i noticed that they had zero feedback but payment was received almost immediately so i thought it was ok.
I have got up this morning to find the buyer has opened a paypal dispute.

I thought there was a few days after sending payment that a buyer could file a dispute.0

Is this the buyer or PAYPAL0 -
I wouldn't post the phone yet. I would phone paypal for some clarificatiom0

Thas't not a dispute from the buyer ....it is PayPal letting you know that they think the buyer could be dodgy and they are asking for more info before they let the transaction go through .....probably a hijacked account or stolen credit card ? Do NOT post the phone until they say it's OK to do so !0

Before you do eventually send the phone, make sure you note down the serial numbers.0

It sounds like fraudulent use of a credit card to me
Just to say if it is and you have to relist make sure your set your seller preferences tight and yo only accept bids from those with a credit card on file as that reduces the number of scammers0 -

I rang Paypal yesterday and the robot is so annoying. There is no option to speak to a human.
So my advice is say "i want to speak to someone" and it will put you through.
Sorry if it's common knowledge and you already knew, but i wish i knew this yesterday lol, i only said it out of frustration.Proud mum to now-grown-up daughter (Pebbles) and two lovely grandchildren (Roxy & Chip).

I've always spoken to a real person on paypal, not always with any great success but within a couple of minutes of phoning the number you get when you log into your paypal account you get the option to speak to a representative.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
