 Just phoned to close a credit card that's clear, he kept banging on about how I needed to keep a credit card as a back up and that they didn't want to loose me as a customer....offered to up my credit limit from £2500 to £5000....then tried throwing in 0% for 6 months on transfers...no...really dont need it thanks....ok 12 months 0% and we can offer you a bank account with a £2000 overdraft limit! Errrr.....no...I just want to close the card......

Was put through to the "lets try and sell you something else" department who then offered to up the limit to £6000 with a 2% life of balance offer.

I ended up getting quite shirty but it's now closed.

And there was me thinking they were cracking down on this sort of thing.

I am sitting here surrounded by paperwork - decided to sort it out and do some filing, but now I am bored and only half way through! it isn't even mine, it is my daughter's but it would never get done if I waited for her to do it! Also my hole punch is broken, so can't actually get it filed in the way I wanted.

Do you ever wish you hadn't started something.......

    Hello all!
Had an abortive trip to get my gait analysis done, so i could get some trainers that suit my dodgy feet/legs better. Guy took one look at my feet and said-"Way too complicated for me" ...said I need to see a podiatrist to talk orthotics......off to hunt one down...
    Debt-free...and staying that way...
