  • Morning Everyone

Back from holiday had a nice relaxing time, but need a reality check and a good sort out of my finances, esp after additional costs from car accident and other odds and sods.

    So today
I have checked online banking (eugh):o
Sorted washing one lot to go out on the line when I have had coffee
Have been though post need to file away bills etc
Attack paperwork for solicitors relating to accident
Look at freezer and storecupboard to stretch housekeeping as far as possible this month
    Meal Plan
Coffee and chat with friend later

I have had a really lazy morning, I still ache and feel a bit parp from the accident, but I must get on.

Little dog kipping in her bed (she has been to kennels and worn herself out) she got home last night after we paid her ransome.

Will be back to post a bit more later:D
My finances are work in progress.
    Normal veiwing will resume shortly

    Morning everyone!

Had a lovely walk to work this morning - it was a bit drizzly when I set off but it cleared up lots and by the time I was halfway in it was lovely and sunny! :T

    Today I hope to:
    • Plan out next week's meal plan
    • Write my shopping list (might give Asda a go on mysupermarket.com and see what sort of savings I could make)
    • Put more money into credit card
    • Print out layouts of cards to get the folding right
    • Book my flights home for the end of the month! My lovely Mum has given me flights as a pressie! :j CANNOT WAIT!!
    • Have a NSD
    • Eat packed lunch that I've brought in
That's it for now - hope you're all having a good hump day!

    Jo :)

    Morning all

Littlekel – love hearing about the savings – they all add up, and afterall, that’s what this thread is all about.

OliveOyl – that sounds horrible. We once had a stray cat ‘trapped’ under the floorboards upstairs. It was so skittish that despite there being a hole for it to come out of, it took us ages to entice it out

Welcome back Saving, hope you’re feeling better soon.

List for today looks like this:
    • Check bank
    • Update budget spreadsheet…MUST get this done today
    • Update CC balances
    • Make sure I complete all the work I’ve brought home to do today (or in other words, don’t spend all day on here :D)
    • All food from home
    • HC x 3
    • Surveys (haven’t done any for ages) - done..15p and one very sexist survey
I have to buy ink for the printer too – thanks for the reminder Rachel, DD would be very unhappy if I forgot as she needs to print out her school project today ;).

    Back later...

    Hi again everyone!

Rachel and beencounting - my Dad gave me this website yesterday for ink cartridges, he says they're pretty good value:

    www.justinkandpaper.com :money:

Not sure if you guys already have somewhere cheaper that you get them from, but just thought I'd let you know anyway. I haven't used it yet but I need to get a colour one soon.

    Hope it's helpful!

    Jo :)

Just spoke to solicitor , looks like she wants to start court proceedings:(. Not sure I am up to this :(

My freinds say I should , in a similar case they admitted liability the day before going to court. Not sure its worth making me ill over this.

To calm myself down I have gone through my 'I owe' amounts. Since December I have reduced my debt by £3522, and to be fair it hasn't been hard work, just stopped the silly spending :o

So on that cheerful note I will get some clothes on and get my A** into work !!!
