Hi,
Sorry if this has been asked before but here goes.
I am serving in the RAF and will be out of the country for a period of time this year. I have heard that I can get out of my mobile contract because they will be unable to provide a sevice for me where I am going? I am currently half way through a contract with Orange.
I expect this to be just rumour but thought I would ask anyway.
Thanks
Chris

Hi there
You cant get out of your contract but you can put it on hold while you are away with the RAF. This was mentioned on watchdog about a month ago. You have to call your network provider and let them know

You wont be able to get out of the contract however you will be able to suspend your contract until you return, so if you are on month 12 now when you return to the UK you will still be on month 12 so you are not paying for a service you can't use thru no fault of your own, i believe all the networks offer this to service personnel who are called to active duty0
